ROAST DINNER WALK: The Thames: a Love Story a guided walking tour

Details

A walk to highlight the love affair we Londoners have with the River Thames and showcase it as a canvas for various works of art and music.

On this walking tour, delivered by qualified London tour guide Caroline (as featured on the BBC) we will hear stories about the love Londoners have for the Thames. After the walk we will visit a London Club for a delicious Sunday Roast.

We will see some of the art the River Thames inspired; visit the beautiful York Watergate that is nowhere near the water's edge. We will hear all about "The Great Stink". We will stop at Sir Joseph Bazalgette Memorial and find out what lasting legacy he left us Londoner’s. We will stop at Queen Mary’s Steps and find out who built them and we will finish with some beautiful music, Handel’s Water Music.

At the end of the walk we will retire to a London Club for a Sunday Roast. This is optional, so please let us know when booking if you are coming for the Roast. The cost of the Roast is £12 per person payable on the day (please note the cost of the Sunday Roast is not included in the price of the walking tour ticket).
