🎨 Slava: Watercolor World | Art Exhibition Opening at Porto's Soho | Free Entry

Watercolor World invites us to enter the enchanted universe of Slava, a Ukrainian designer and artist based in Porto, who transforms everyday life into poetry through watercolor. Between the city streets, journeys that evoke memories, and tender fleeting moments, Slava depicts cats, cars, and landscapes in a style that is both technical and emotional.

Porto emerges as his constant source of inspiration — bridges, façades, and urban scenes are transfigured into delicate narratives, where the fluid gesture of watercolor gives shape to a luminous and intimate world.

With this exhibition, Gallery Hostel Porto opens its doors to “Watercolor World”, a realm where technical detail meets the narrative of everyday life, inviting each visitor to rediscover beauty in the simplest gestures.

I used to draw nonstop as a kid. I studied book illustration at university, but after graduating, I switched fully to digital and stopped drawing by hand. For over 10 years, I worked only on screen. That changed in 2022, when I left Ukraine because of the war and moved to Porto. Here, I found my inspiration. I picked up a brush again — and my hands still remembered. Now I paint quick, loose watercolors of what I see around me. These watercolors are my way of observing and feeling the world again."
