Join me for a visit to Corsham Court, a stunning historic house in Wiltshire renowned for its exceptional art collection and elegant interiors. We’ll explore works by Van Dyck, Lippi, Reynolds, and more, all housed in rooms designed by Robert Adam. The surrounding parkland was laid out by Capability Brown, not in his typical style though, and our focus will be on the house and its treasures. Afterwards we can go for refreshments.

The front door of Corsham Court, Church St, Wiltshire, Corsham SN13 0BZ. If you’re late, you’ll need to buy a ticket and find us in the house. I carry a silver backpack handbag.

“Corsham Court contains important paintings by such masters as Fra Filippo Lippi, Van Dyck, Carlo Dolci, Joshua Reynolds and Sofonisba Anguissola. The mirrors and tables in the Picture Gallery were designed by Robert Adam specially for the room. Capability Brown was responsible for the layout of Corsham Park to the east of the house. During normal opening hours, the Breakfast Room and Library in the private wing are open by guided tour only.”
