About us
The Pence Gallery (located at 212 D Street in Davis, CA) invites children and their families to participate our monthly family art workshops! Our program, Art in Action, offers kids ages 5-12 engaging art projects that prioritize having fun and learning together with parents or adult caregivers.
Projects are designed to introduce kids to making their own artwork, by experimenting with creative ideas and materials. Our resident art teacher will introduce you to the wealth of possibilities in our upstairs classroom. This is a drop-in program, with no registration required.
How it works: Pay at the door with cash or card. Each project is $5 for Members and $10 for Non-Members, per person. (Become a Pence Gallery Member starting at $70/year and save!)
Please note that each child is required to be accompanied by a parent, adult caregiver, or guardian. Parents or adult caregivers only have to pay for the project themselves if they also plan on doing the art.

Art in Action: Woven Fairy House Wall Hangings
Pence Gallery, 212 D St, Davis, CA, USOur fairy houses are back – with a twist! Learn how to make a simple loom with sticks and twine, and weave flowers, leaves, and other natural materials to create your very own wall hanging. Decorate your woven art piece with moss, fabric butterflies, beads, and more to create the perfect fairy hideaway.

Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun, creative, and collaborative with their family members. This is a drop-in program for ages 5-12. No registration in advance is required, but space and supplies are limited to the first 25 participants and are available on a first come, first served basis.When you arrive, pay with cash or card at the front desk. A parent or adult caregiver is required to stay, but only has to pay for the project for themselves if they are also doing art. Stay as long or as short as you like over the two hour period.
