Hello everyone,
Thank you for joining this group! For this meetup, we will be working on sketching the beach landscape. This event will be on Saturday morning (1/13) from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. We will be trying out some new meeting venues so this location is at Hotel Erwin's "High Rooftop Lounge" in Venice which overlooks the Venice Beach boardwalk. The entire restaurant is considered open-air, outdoors. For parking, you can find free street parking in residential areas (read signs).
All you need for this lesson is a No. 2 pencil, pencil sharpener, paper, or a sketchbook to learn how to sketch and draw proficiently. Bring watercolor if you have it, but it's optional. For now, the lesson meetups will be scheduled depending on the demand and my schedule. Hope to see you there. Message me if you have any questions.
For this lesson meeting, I will be going over the basics of landscape sketching and painting (optional). The attendee limit for the meeting is usually 6 max. The cost for this meetup is only $15. My normal rate for art lessons is $65 hr on Wyzant (tutoring website). To be frank, compare the quality of students' artwork for growth and improvement with other art classes:) To deter last-minute cancellations or no-shows, I'm implementing this payment system.
