http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/2/5/2/event_255273362.jpegEntertainment Weekly calls WICKED "the best musical of the decade,” and when it last played Pittsburgh in 2011, it broke box office records and sold out in record time.

Winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, WICKED is Broadway’s biggest blockbuster, a cultural phenomenon and was just named “the defining musical of the decade" by The New York Times.

Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One - born with emerald green skin - is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for "the most complete and completely satisfying new musical in a long time" (USA Today).

A WICKED OFFER JUST FOR YOU!

The Pittsburgh Cultural Arts Meetup members will receive a prime Directors Circle or Orchestra Floor ticket to WICKED on January 17, 2014 along with exclusive access to the post-show cast party with complimentary food/drinks, photo/autograph opportunities, etc. for an evening you'll never forget.

New contributors will also receive a one year Partners membership with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust during 2014!

Please note that availability is limited. This offer will expire once tickets have been exhausted. Tickets will be processed in the order they are received. To order your tickets ($115 each), please visit https://www.formstack.com/forms/?1648051-z0fgNIKrPO by January 16.

Please note that Directors Circle and Orchestra Floor are prime seats inside the Benedum with a great view to the stage!

With this special offer, you'll be getting seats that otherwise wouldn't be widely available unless you might be willing to possibly pay a lot more in aftermarkets as most of the best seats for Wicked shows are 95+% sold already. With this special offer, you're avoiding hassle and saving even more money since there are no handling fees.

In addition, a one-year membership with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust includes all of these benefits:
•Invitations to Cast Parties
•Discounts and specials at Cultural District restaurants
•Member discount for Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh tickets
•A complimentary one-year subscription to Pittsburgh Quarterly Magazine
•Receive TrustOvations Member Newsletter and Trust Events Catalogue
•The opportunity to purchase tickets for annual Members Night on Broadway Event
•Support the Education and Community Outreach Department and send a student to a School Day Matinee Series performance, master-class or provide art supplies for a workshop activity
•Make your mark on downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District, which offers performing and visual arts, children's programming, public parks, festivals and so much more.

As a reminder, this 1-year membership is by household/address so this is important if you're thinking about this offer as a gift or bringing friends/family. Please contact Jenn at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust if you have any questions for including the membership for others, such as if you could pay for this but give another address for the membership schooley@trustarts.org

Please note that tickets will be processed in the order that they are received. It may take a week or two for processing due to the holidays. Again, this offer is extended only through the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust development department, so you must use the link to the form. The link will be deactivated once the limit has been reached.

Stay tuned for updates!

Please note it is also OK if people would like to attend the show and buy tickets on their own. FYI, the Friday 1/17 show is already 99.9% sold and there are less than 30 single seats (i.e., not together) in the $89-$107 range plus ticketing handling which can sometimes be as high as $8-$12/ticket. And certainly prices vary even more in aftermarkets (people selling via stubhub, ebay, craiglist, etc. where scalping may be going on). So the Meetup package -- where people have great seats, can sit together, enjoy 1-yr membership benefits, and cast party following the Friday Jan 17 performance -- is a good deal.
