This event is planned to take advantage of RAD Pass where Allegheny County/Carnegie Library card holders may reserve a one-time free admission pass online per year for up to 4 people at The Frick Pittsburgh Museums & Gardens on select days during November 2025 and December 2025.

This is a chance to check out the special exhibit The Scandinavian Home: Landscape and Lore (September 27, 2025 - January 11, 2026) that has been wowing visitors. Featuring stunning landscapes, portraits, furniture, and decorative arts, this exhibition comprises more than 100 works of furniture, ceramics, glass, paintings, textiles, sculptures, graphics, and metalwork from eighteenth through the mid-twentieth century Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

From landscapes to lore, hand-carved heirlooms to resplendent tapestries, The Scandinavian Home: Landscape and Lore invites visitors into a world where domestic and mythic intertwine. This never-before-seen private collection is one of the finest in North America — and its premiere showing is at The Frick Pittsburgh. Everyone should check out this amazing exhibit at least once before it leaves Pittsburgh and tours other cities.

For example, people can visit The Frick Pittsburgh several times as one of the guests with their family/friend's RAD Pass reservations during select days during November-December 2025.

By taking advantage of RAD Pass, people can save compared to special exhibit charges of $18 Adult, $16 Senior/Military/Veteran/First Responder/Teacher/Adult with Disabilities, $10 Student and Youth 17 & Under, $1 Museum for All, and $0 Frick Member. With this approach, people may see first-hand the great work and think about becoming (or gifting) a Membership | The Frick Pittsburgh Museums & Gardens to enjoy year-round activities.

The Meetup will begin at the Frick Visitor Center as the group gathers from 12:15-12:30 PM and discuss how much time they might have to spend during the rest of the afternoon. This will allow for a firm headcount to make RAD Pass reservations for everyone. For example, one person can reserve a RAD Pass for 4 people.

Once at The Frick, the group may check out all of the exhibits at a leisurely pace since The Frick is open until 5 PM.

Depending on the interests of the group and weather, we may go to The Café at the Frick or perhaps go for a walk in Frick Park or Westinghouse Park -- or shopping at the nearby East End Food Coop
