The Sounds They Loved Multimedia Concert - French Moderns: Matisse/Renoir/Degas

This event is planned to check out the exhibit French Moderns: Matisse/Renoir/Degas on display during June 2 - October 11, 2026.

And to make this experience even more memorable, there will be a very unique multimedia concert The Sounds They Loved: Musical Connections to French Moderns on June 28 from 3-4:30 PM by pianist Leslie Amper who returns to The Frick for another wonderful multimedia concert. Enjoy live piano works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, and more, paired with stunning visuals and commentary exploring the music that influenced artists of the era.

Admission for French Moderns: Matisse/Renoir/Degas Exhibit: $18 Adult, $16 Senior/Military/Veteran/First Responder/Teacher/Adult with Disabilities, $10 Student and Youth 17 & Under, $1 Museum for All, and $0 Frick Member

$20 College Student (w/ ID). Complimentary for members of The Frick Societies.

Meetup Considerations
The Meetup will begin at the Frick Visitor Center as the group gathers from 12:45-1 PM and discuss how much time they have to spend during the afternoon. Please note The Frick Visitor Center is free along other parts of The Frick Pittsburgh.

Thus, it is also OK if people would like to just attend the multimedia concert The Sounds They Loved: Musical Connections to French Moderns from 3-4:30 PM. The group will regather at 2:45 PM sharp before grabbing seats together.

This is also a great opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds, buildings, and galleries See and Do | The Frick Pittsburgh Museums & Gardens at a leisurely pace since The Frick is open until 5 PM.

Depending on the interests of the group and weather, we may go to The Café at the Frick or perhaps go for a walk in Frick Park or Westinghouse Park -- or shopping at the nearby East End Food Coop
