Call for Artists: Contemporary Realism Exhibit DEADLINE Sept 4th, 2024

DESCRIPTION OF EXHIBIT
This juried gallery exhibit will showcase Contemporary Realism of South Florida, the focus of Art Evolution Gallery. Representational painters drawing from Impressionists, Expressionists, working in both studio and plein air will present artwork that speaks to savvy collectors. Application fee: $25, deadline is September 4, 2024.
CALL for ARTISTS
This exhibit will be in the Art Evolution Gallery at Chapel 4 and online. The online exhibit will remain indefinitely with a link to artists website after the exhibit closes at Chapel 4. Application fee: $25, deadline is September 4, 2024. The fee is payable on-line by applying to **www.artevolutiongallery.com/gallery/call** by credit card and is non-refundable. All sales of artwork will be handled by Art Evolution Gallery. Commission for paintings sold by exhibiting artists is 30% going to the gallery. If sales are by credit card, proportional fees will be charged

Artists must include a 'completed' application, and release agreement, along with up to five high quality jpgs of original representational artwork. Images must be labeled as follows; artist's initials, the number that corresponds with your entry (1, 2, or 3), title of piece (or an abbreviation of the title). For example, DJW1OceanAtDelray.jpg. Overall, Image file size should be between 1Mb to 2 Mb in jpg file format. All submissions of artists paintings must be original work of the artist and not painted in a workshop (unless you were the instructor). All applications must be received by September 4, 2024.
The submitted image must be of good quality, well cropped to show only the painting as the image submitted is the image that will appear in the online exhibit.
For actual artwork, the following must be adhered to:

• two dimensional originals only
• work must be framed and ready to be hung with wire included (tape wrapped wire would be appreciated)
• work can be in any medium
• work must be no larger than 2 sides adding up to 70” i.e., can be 40”x30”” or 50”x20”. Etc.

After review by jury, artists will be notified of accepted entries by September 18, 2024. Accepted entries will also be given an opportunity to opt in to the Art Evolution Gallery Print on Demand site. Images submitted can be used at the discretion of the committee for publicity purposes. The statement by artist and description of each artwork will be used for marketing and sales, so be mindful of that when you write them. Collectors love to know little tidbits about the artist/artwork they are considering buying and can make a difference in closing a sale. You will be notified acceptance into Contemporary Realism Gallery & Online Exhibit by September 18th, 2024.
