What we’re about

Welcome Curious and Creative Friends!

Hiking trips where we explore, take photos, enjoy nature. Unique cultural experiences, live music and theater, interactive art. Astronomy, Anthropology, Paleontology. Meet new friends who share your interests!

We're an Outdoors Group for folks who enjoy art. A hiking group for people fascinated by ancient cultures. An art group for like minded friends who love being outside. We're about learning new things, mixing it up, getting out!

We're not outfitters or guides. Just friends who love to get out and explore. You're responsible for your own equipment, transportation, tickets, etc.

Events may have various costs. We'll post links for you to purchase your tickets directly from the venue. That gives you control over your access. The Meetup App will show all events as "Free" but that just means we are not collecting the money from you, you will pay the venue directly.

Unless otherwise posted, events aren't suitable for pets or children.

We are about making real in-person connections. We're here to meet new friends. To help, we ask that you post a recognizable image of yourself, and with your profile, use the name you prefer to be called in public. We want to meet you!

We're about respect. We all have our own beliefs, goals, ideologies and this is a safe place to be yourself. We all have things that are important to us, that may not be as important to others. Friends respect each other's values without needing everyone else to put the same weight on them. Art is subjective, culture is relative, we can each enjoy our things and stay friendly.

Some events are more involved than the normal Meetup offerings and might require meeting the event organizer ahead of time. Camping, kayaking, longer hikes are best with familiar faces. Part is the "stranger danger" that comes with going some amazing places with unknown folks, but a large part is just to make sure we're on the same page, sharing similar goals. There are friends who are looking for tour guides, and SE Utah is not the best place to discover we're not the best fit.

There is a sober and vegan sub-element to this art and outdoors group. Very simply, we won't have events at zoos, circuses, rodeos and such. If there's food involved, there will be legit vegan options. Do what you will, we all have our own preferences, just FYI if you wonder why vegan food options are mentioned. Similarly most events will be dry, and in the rare spots where alcohol is served there will be zero pressure to consume anything. We're an arts group, a hiking group, an outdoors group, not a drinking group.
