Hiking - Triceratops Trail + Museum of Earth Science - Ichnites and Fossils
Details
Plan is to look for some of the fossils around Golden. I estimate we might cover about 5 miles over various trails. I think we can stay parked in one spot, but might drive to other locations if they're not right in town. This is a mix of hiking, museums, fossil hunting and photography.
We'll meet at the Triceratops Trail Trailhead 9am, walk over to the Museum of Earth Sciences to check that out, snoop for some sites on campus before returning to the trailhead to get water and hiking stuff to explore the Triceratops Trail.
Parking in the lot at the trailhead is free on weekends.

The Triceratops trail has several footprints, but also has various plant fossils. I've never been to the museum and I hope they might point us to even more cool stuff in the area.
After the hike, if anyone wants to grab food at Aladdin, they have some very tasty options (including vegan options): https://restaurantaladdin.com
You'll want normal hiking gear, hat, water, etc.
I prefer to hike without pets or children.
I'm limiting group size to 6 people, RSVP's will close a day before the event as that just keeps things easy for me.
Update: I just found out the Rocky Mountain SpeleoSeminar is happening during this hike. The event is free, might need to pre-register, but caves are awesome and it might be worth checking out while we're there.
