Field trip to Northampton to see the AMAZING Ekep Nkwelle Quartet!

I just saw the astounding Ekep Nkwelle at the Newport Jazz Festival. There is always someone at the festival who moves me to tears, this year it was her! And, the rest of the quartet is filled with amazing musicians: Julius Rodriguez, piano, Russell Hall, bass, and Brian Richburg, Jr., drums. Not to be missed and it is FREE at the Unitarian Society, 220 Main Street, Northampton, MA.

Only 24 years old, Nkwelle is a DC-born, New York-based jazz vocalist of Cameroonian-American descent. She trained at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Howard University, and The Juilliard School.
