Ekep Nkwelle at Regattabar (this time for sure)

Ekep Nkwelle is a force in today’s jazz scene I saw her for the first time this summer at Newport Jazz festival and was moved to tears. I tried to schedule a meet up to see her in Northampton, which did not work out. Now she is coming to Boston to the Regattabar!

Her voice has captivated legendary jazz figures such as Wynton Marsalis, Dianne Reeves, the late Russell Malone, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Catherine Russell, Cyrus Chestnut, and Jeff “Tain” Watts, earning her multiple opportunities to collaborate with these luminaries. A dynamic performer, Ekep has left her mark on world-renowned stages, including The Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy.

I have 4 tickets and will order more if there’s enough interest. I did not want to miss this one. When ordering tickets at the Regatta bar, they assign seating at tables, so it is best to order in blocks to sit together. I will order tickets to be reimbursed to make this easier or, if you prefer, buy your own and we can meet before for dinner or afterwards for drinks.
