Tatle Tale is a Sheffield-based creative initiative for adults (18+) that brings people together through slow, meaningful, and community-led creative experiences. Rooted in the idea of intergenerational connection, Tatle Tale creates welcoming spaces where people from different backgrounds, ages, and life experiences can gather to share stories, learn creative skills, and make things together without pressure or perfection. We believe creativity is not only about art, but about conversation, memory, human connection, and the quiet joy of making alongside others.
As part of our ongoing creative workshops, we are delighted to collaborate with Belinda Simcox of Belinda’s Soft Toys & Memory Bears, based in Sheffield’s Moor Market. Belinda is known for transforming reclaimed and meaningful fabrics into handmade soft toys and memory bears filled with warmth, care, and personal history. In this special workshop series, participants will learn the art of creating their own handmade animal companions through slow stitching and textile making in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you are completely new to sewing or already enjoy craft and textiles, these sessions are designed to encourage creativity, curiosity, and gentle learning through shared making.
This is not simply a craft class — it is an opportunity to slow down, meet new people, exchange stories, and experience the warmth that can grow when creativity and community come together.
