Guided visit around the recently reopened Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery

Details
By popular demand, we return for another tour of The National Gallery's Sainsbury Wing reopened after 3 years of restoration.
The new interiors and hangs are stunning. The spaces are airy and light and its paintings glow like jewels against beautiful dark grey walls.
In this fully guided tour of this early part of the National Gallery collection, I will tell you of the curatorial decisions taken in the rehang and the story of how art evolved from the early Renaissance in Italy to the invention of oil paint in the Netherlands. We will admire works by Botticelli, Leonardo, Ucello, Piero della Francesca, Jan van Eyck and many others.
We will also stop at the unexpected contemporary piece specially commissioned from British artist Richard Long and created in situ at the top of the main staircase.
