Pablo Picasso, the Spanish artist who impacted 20th century art, told us in his famous quote: "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."

Whether you are a seasoned artist or someone who has always dreamed of painting, you're invited! Creating a welcoming space for art makers is a commitment I keep.

My students, Casa Creativa Artists — "art makers" — enjoy painting in the relaxed Florence, Arizona classroom. It has a convenient kitchenette, restroom, and even a mini art mart. Seating is limited to a maximum of six students, which gives me the opportunity to provide support on a more individual basis. I find few things more enjoyable than watching the excitement of a new art maker who realizes they've just created something amazing from their own ideas and imagination!

My art classes are typically 3–4 hours long, $50–$75 per student. This includes all art supplies. The value, my students tell me, is hard to beat. 😊 (Contact me if you have an interest in one-on-one tutoring, or a group painting class at your location.)

For many years I've been a practicing acrylic artist and have enjoyed working with students.
This past summer (2026), I participated in a 9-week, 18-session certification course to facilitate "Paint from Your Soul." In these workshops, we'll be taking acrylic painting to a new, deeper, spiritual level.
"Paint from Your Soul" is recommended for women who are 50ish or older. It's a unique art workshop where you'll create a Soul Art painting. Many experience a breakthrough of creative blocks as they discover the spiritual side of art making. Participants are often surprised by the art they've created.
You might ask yourself these questions if you're wondering if it's right for you:

• Does the thought of connecting with your inner feminine self resonate?
• Are you experiencing emotions that may be the result of an empty nest or loneliness — or perhaps you feel a need to find purpose in your life?
• Do you feel creatively stuck, or simply want to create feminine archetypal soul art that is deeply meaningful?

Again, you do not need to be an artist or have any art or painting experience to benefit from this workshop. Come as you are — your presence and open heart are all that's required.
