Hi art bookclubbers,

The book this time chosen by Nika is "The Art of Rivilary by Pulitzer Prize–winning art critic Sebastian Smee tells the fascinating story of four pairs of artists—Manet and Degas, Picasso and Matisse, Pollock and de Kooning, Freud and Bacon—whose fraught, competitive friendships spurred them to new creative heights." So a nice mix of different artists to suit all interests there. Available on Amazon, Amazon Kindle, Hodges & F, on sale on the Book depository and all usual suspects I'd imagine. Aoife mentioned at the end of the evening there was also some discussion about the nights the RHA sometimes host. They just advertised the next one on March 3rd, if anyone is interested. Pat and Nika suggested we go to some art exhibitions together. Another fantastic idea. They have mentioned the "Sculpture in Context in the Botanic Gardens it is on usually for 6 weeks and the gardens are just a great place to visit anyways." Thats in Autumn and I will post an event closer to the time.
