Lucia, an introverted 16-year-old, joins a choir at her Catholic school and befriends outgoing Ana-Maria. But the choir’s weekend trip to a countryside convent, where she meets a renovation workman, tests both that friendship and Lucia’s beliefs. Winner of the FIPRESCI award for best film at this year’s Berlinale, Little Trouble Girls delivers a sensitive female coming-of-age story with universal relevance and marks the emergence of an exciting new voice in European cinema.
We will go for a drink after the film to discuss the film.
