At this meetup, we’ll get hands-on with WordPress plugin and theme development using AI.
We’ll explore how modern AI tools can help developers:

• Build WordPress plugins from ideas and specifications
• Create and modify WordPress themes
• Generate and refactor PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Debug WordPress code
• Write automated tests
• Work with existing plugins and codebases
• Turn natural-language requirements into working software
• Use AI as an active development partner rather than just a code-completion tool

The focus will be practical. We’ll look at what happens when you give an AI system a real WordPress development task and let it work through the problem.
We’ll also discuss a bigger question:
Are we reaching the point where AI can function like a general-purpose software developer?
That’s the idea behind the deliberately provocative title “AGI is here!”
