Beyond the Hype: AI Trends That Matter

Artificial Intelligence is evolving at an unprecedented pace, often accompanied by hype, buzzwords, and fancy visuals. While marketing narratives dominate the AI space, it is essential to focus on what truly matters—understanding the foundational concepts, recognizing emerging trends, and preparing for future innovations. This event is designed to go beyond the noise, offering a clear perspective on AI advancements and practical takeaways for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

We begin the evening with Andrei Averin, who will present a classical OpenAI application for educational purposes, demonstrating how AI can be leveraged for learning. Danko Nikolic will then present a new LLM solution and perspective, where an LLM generates Python code to accurately process large data sets, overcoming tokenization and computational limitations. Later, Idris Babay will explore modular AI and agent-based systems, examining how AI agents integrate with LLMs and Mixture of Experts (MoE) architectures like DeepSeek to enhance efficiency, specialization, and scalability in problem-solving.

The evening will conclude with announcements, followed by an open networking session where attendees can exchange insights, discuss key takeaways, and connect with fellow AI enthusiasts.

Talk: Creating AI-assisted educational collateral products
Abstract: Andrei uses a combination of OpenAI and a digital avatar to create online courses with video content from text documentation. The course can be used as a stand-alone learning product or as a tool to attract new customers.

Talk: ExactAgent: How to get exact answers from your data using natural language and LLMs?
Abstract: RAGs are great, but getting exact answers about large data sets from RAG systems is difficult. Tokenized data are not accurate and the calculations within transformers cannot be accurate either. This is especially the case when one has large datasets. Danko created a solution whereby an LLM uses a question posed in natural language to create a Python code to answer the question and then LLM uses the result of the code to formulate a response in natural language. Danko calls this solution "ExactAgent".

Abstract: Artificial intelligence is increasingly shifting towards modularity, optimizing efficiency and specialization. This talk explores AI agents - autonomous systems designed for tailored tasks - and their integration woth Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance problem-solving. By drawing parallels between AI agents and the Mixture of Experts (MoE) architecture in models like DeepSeek, we highlight how modular AI enables selective activation of specialized components, improving precision, efficiency, scalability, and adaptability. Through this lens, we uncover the power of modular AI as a transformative force in intelligent systems.
