Intelligent Agents on Smart Factories - Johannesburg

This session is presented by Oluwabamigbe Oni, also known as Bami Oni. He is a data scientist/software engineer at Entelect. A young man with a vision of an interconnected world made possible by IoT. He is deeply fascinated by analysis and intelligence that can be performed in this space.

This talk is based on a project where the main goal was to demonstrate the benefits of IOT in a factory. One of which includes optimised productivity and reduced energy consumption. The AI agent perceives the environment and acts by adjusting respective machines when a manager decides to automate the production process.

This talk includes:

• AI agents (Expert systems) – Agent composition and how agent’s interact with their environment.

• The factory – The factory space in which the agent will look to optimise.

• The inner workings of the agent – How the agent rationalises actions that are to be performed on the factory space.

• Agent on factory demonstration – A demonstration of the agent working on the factory (Smart Factory).

• Project results – proof that agents optimises productivity and reduces energy consumption.
