Intro to the Entelect AI Challenge

Edwin is currently working at Entelect as an Intermediate Software Engineer. He has a keen eye for user experience design and is passionate about full-stack development. He started at Entelect as a graduate in January 2016 and has since then worked his way into a trustworthy role on his team. Edwin also helps to run the Entelect Challenge and volunteers to help update some of the internal projects at Entelect. When he doesn't work, Edwin likes to spend his time outdoors, drinking fine wine, playing board games and solving puzzles.
Rohan is currently a software engineer employed at Entelect. In addition to his work, Rohan tries to contribute to Entelect’s internal system such as Entelect’s blogging platform. Rohan is also a part-time student at the University of Pretoria where he intends to further his knowledge of Artificial Intelligence. In his spare time, he enjoys competing in algorithmic programming challenges such as the Google Code Jam as well as playing around with AI algorithms.

Jade Abbott is a Senior Software Developer and Data Scientist at Retro Rabbit. Since 2013, she's built software for every field from social upliftment to banking, working on projects throughout Africa. She's worked at every end of software (with a particular preference for backend) and considers herself a polyglot. Since then, her focus has shifted to her life long passion - AI and data science. In the past 2 years, training deep learning models to perform a variety of NLP tasks for real life systems. She has recently completed her MSc in Swarm Robotics and as a published researcher has presented her research locally and abroad. When she is not wrangling data, she plays bass for South African instrumental band Follow Me Follow You.
