AI Ethics is starting to become a notable point of conversation and research in the developed North. Does it take into account the various parameters of culture, religion, gender and race and other criteria that is specific to the developing South?

Nazareen Ebrahim is a media and communications specialist with a dedicated focus on technology leading Naz Consulting -Corporate.Media.Academia . Her portfolio over the last 15 years combines consulting, mentoring and training. Nazareen also has strong broadcast portfolio of both being profiled and producing and presenting television and radio shows. She is now an AI Ethics Office in training and is being mentored by Kay Firth Butterfield – Head of AI And Machine Learning at the World Economic Forum. This in preparation to lead the research team of South African social tech enterprise Socially Acceptable of which she is the founder.

We've expanded the topic range of the meetup to include anything "future tech" such as IoT, VR/AR, Game development, Cloud, etc. We're also trying to include a lightning talk at each event exclusively for new presenters to help encourage more people to share their work and gain experience speaking and interacting with the community.
