We'd like to add some spark to this group with some networking with steam artists and set up an in-person Happy Hour in Cambridge MA in November. We are about connecting artists with scientists, STEAM enthusiasts, medical illustrators and anyone interested in science and art.
We're also sharing some resources and speakers to our group. Take a look at these resources.
STEAM Art resources for medical Illustration
These are places fine visual artists can apply their talents to improve medicine, make care more accessible to patients, dispel misinformation and find resources for medical sciences.
Following these organizations and artists will be a great resource for careers and finding new ways to apply your art.
Ni-Ka Ford – Enlight Visuals
She makes medical illustration work by dispelling misinformation promoting equity and getting the right information into the hands of patients and healthcare to improve healthcare.
She’s agreed to speak to our Meetup group in the near future about her journey as an artist. We hope to have more speakers and events in Science related STEAM Art soon.
