Walking and Drawing: The Little Residents of Amsterdam: Insects

Join us on Saturday, August 30th, on a discovery tour and draw the little residents of Amsterdam North: insects. Visual artist and teacher Liesje van den Berk guides and challenges you with short drawing exercises. As you walk and draw, you'll learn to capture their shapes, movements, and personalities. Experience nature with pencil and paper! In addition to looking, we will also listen and feel in our surroundings and record these observations on paper with graphite pencil. We see in a drawing what the eyes and senses of the other perceive.

Walking is a way to experience the richness of your environment and make contact with each other. During the walks you will discover new nature, images, places and stories about your neighborhood by looking and listening.

No drawing experience is required for this drawing walk. The drawing materials are provided.
