The Grid is a live electronic music experience for movement, creativity, and connection. Through techno, trance, drum and bass, bass music, and melodic electronic sounds, we use rhythm to move beyond mental blocks, enter flow states, and build community in real time.

We meet online every week so you can plug in from anywhere and make meaningful progress.

AGENDA
1. Plug-in (5 min)
We arrive and settle in.

2. Check-in (30 min)
We share what we are working on, where we feel stuck and what we want to accomplish today. This is a non-judgmental space where we offer encouragement, accountability and support.

3. Live Beats & Movement (25 min)
Move to a live electronic set designed to connect to, and energize the body.

4. The Drop (5 min)
A guided meditation to quiet the mind and access our raw creative power.

5. Creative Flow Sprint (20 min)
Fifteen minutes of uninterrupted execution. Write, sketch, compose, plan, journal or brainstorm. We use the collective momentum of the room to break through resistance and move our creative work forward.

6. Share & Connect (30 min)
We return to share what emerged, celebrate progress, and support each other's next steps. This is also a chance to connect with others, discover collaborators, and leave feeling part of something bigger.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR, SYREN
Music, movement, and community have been the driving forces of my life for over two decades.

My path has taken me from fronting original rock, punk, and metal bands in San Francisco and New York to studying theater, dance, and musical traditions around the world - from Ireland to India to Argentina. Today, I'm focused on electronic music production and live performance through my project, Syren's Element.

Movement has been just as important to my journey. For ten years, I taught yoga, hip hop dance, and kickboxing, where I saw firsthand how music and movement can transform not only the body, but also creativity, confidence, and human connection.

Building community through the arts has become one of my greatest passions. I founded my theater company, Theater on the Cusp, where I produced an original multimedia musical. Later I launched Syren Thriving Events, where I produced festivals, tournaments, fundraisers, and other community events. I also co-founded Writers Building Blocks, an online weekly writers group that grew into a thriving creative community. Those experiences reinforced something I've come to believe deeply: artists create their best work when they gather.

WHAT INSPIRED THE GRID?
I love and create music across many genres, but I chose electronic music as the foundation for The Grid because I believe it's the ultimate sandbox for creative exploration. Free from the physical limitations of traditional instruments, it allows any sound to become an instrument and invites us to think in terms of rhythm, texture, energy, and emotion rather than just notes on a page. I'm equally inspired by the cultural roots of electronic music and the ethos of PLUR: Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect.

Through The Grid, my hope is to create a welcoming space where artists can quiet the inner critic, connect authentically, experiment fearlessly, and use music as a catalyst for creativity, healing, and community.
Come as you are. Let's create together!
