Editorial cartoon exhibition

There is an editorial cartooning exhibition that has recently opened at the Maison du dessin de presse.

The artists are Ann Telnaes and Liza Donnelly. If you don’t know about them have a quick search online and you will find that they are at the forefront of social and political criticism in editorial cartooning.

Controversy over one of Ann’s last cartoons, which she submitteded for publication at the Washington post, saw her leave her long standing employer. There was a conflict between freedom of the press and the owners intervening on behalf of a potentially beneficial political allegiance.

I’m surere the exhibition on will be great and will be an interesting stop before our usual drink and draw.
