Get-together, with discussion, networking, and modeling (NEW LOCATION!)

Details

Let's have another one!

A MEETING OF LIFE (aka ART, FIGURE) MODELS--and anybody who cares to draw us--to include: Networking; Discussion of our future; Modeling/drawing from live (usually nude) models.
(PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION! NOT FAR FROM THE OLD. I'LL PUBLISH BETTER DIRECTIONS WHEN I CAN.)

I ESPECIALLY INVITE:
--Anybody with ideas or strong feelings about reviving (or not) the old Figure Models Guild, and with thoughts about what our direction should be;
--New or prospective life models (art models, figure models): people who have thought about life modeling but have never tried it and might like to (N.B. this is a particularly good opportunity for anyone who is not sure--you can come to this and try it if you like, but there's NO OBLIGATION to model OR to be nude to do it!).

I FIGURE ON HAVING:
--Networking, then;
--Discussion, as we're motivated, then;
--Modeling/drawing from live (usually nude) models.
AS FOR THE MODELING,
--As usual, I'll urge anybody there who is not modeling to draw from the model (whether you can draw or not--it doesn't matter), rather than sitting and just watching.
--I will almost certainly do some poses myself (attendees at our last get-together will recall that an outbreak of ... something ... meant that it would have been impolitic of me to take my clothes off where people could see me).
--I'll favor women models early on--if, as is typical, we have a glut of men and just one or two women looking to model.
--If we have people who have never modeled and want to try, I'll favor them early, AS they are ready and WHEN they are ready.

WHAT TO BRING:
--Drawing materials. I'll bring some sketch pads and pencils, etc., but please bring your own if you have them. I urge anybody sitting there while a model is modeling to draw. It doesn't matter if you can draw. Nobody's going to see your work unless you choose to show it. (And come to think of it, you don't actually have to draw the model!) But just sitting watching while someone is holding a nude pose can get weird--for both of you!
--If there's ANY CHANCE YOU MIGHT DECIDE TO MODEL, please bring a robe. We will follow standard modeling decorum (the model goes somewhere out of sight or inconspicuous to remove his/her clothes and puts on a robe--then removes the robe when he/she is on the stand and ready to model). Also recommended--flipflops (two words: "push pins!"). A small towel for sitting on while nude. And some sort of timer (although I'll have one there, and probably others will, too).

THIS EVENT IS FREE; DONATIONS TO OFFSET MY EXPENSES ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
