WEIGHT OF IT ALL
EXHIBITION, OPENING RECEPTION, & ARTIST TALK
Weight of It All is a collaborative photographic project by Heather Mattera and Ben Mattera that chronicles a teenage son’s experience with an eating disorder. Through intimate images and shared authorship, the work maps the family’s inner terrain—body dysmorphia, fear, tenderness, and resilience—while exploring how creativity becomes both witness and refuge in the long, fragile process of healing.
Presented during National Eating Disorder Awareness Month, Weight of It All invites viewers into an intimate space of care, vulnerability, and reflection.
