Share your Voice, Even if It’s Shaking: Poetry Writing & Performance Playshop

Are you a beginner or shy poet, or an experienced poet with writer’s block? Have you wanted to perform your poetry or share publicly for years, but EXTREME stage fright is getting in the way? Are you intimidated by the mic?
The world needs your words: this playshop is for you!

In the first hour, we’ll delve into some poetical, psychological writing prompts that address that elephant in the room all poets deal with from time to time: our old friend, writer’s block. After alchemizing our blocks, the second hour-and-a-half will be dedicated to working through stage fright. Participants will receive performance training from an experienced “poet-former” and actress, and will then be given an opportunity to test out their skills in a safe and welcoming environment with other participants at our own mini open mic.
