A workshop for artists and those who are curious

Beginning with an exploration of the archetypal power of mythic figures, we follow the intuition in our hands to create our own personalized mythic figures. Brought forth as we prepare to turn back towards the light on Winter's Solstice, these clay beings surprise and inform us.

Guidance on creating these forms, using non-firing clay, are provided for the making portion of the workshop on Saturday morning. After drying overnight, we reconvene on Sunday afternoon (2 - 5 pm) to finish the figures using burnishing techniques and adornments.

In this small group setting instruction, encouragement and all materials are provided. While we will provide small adornments for the figures, participants are encouraged to bring some of their own to make the finish more personal. You're welcome to bring small feathers, beads or other ornaments of your own as well.
