đŹ Step into a Wes Anderson world - beyond the screen!
Join us on Sunday as we explore Wes Anderson: The Archives at the Design Museum - a one-of-a-kind retrospective that feels like walking straight into one of his films. This isnât just another exhibition: itâs a chance to see over 700 objects that shaped some of the most visually inventive cinema of the last three decades, from original storyboards, sketches and handwritten notebooks, to miniature sets, puppets, costumes and iconic props that embody Andersonâs meticulous eye for detail and colour.
Weâll wander through the worlds of The Grand Budapest Hotel, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Royal Tenenbaums, Isle of Dogs and more - discovering the craft behind the whimsy and the stories behind the objects. Whether youâre a Wesophile or simply curious about the art of world-building, this immersive look behind the scenes promises to be a visual treat and a great excuse to hang out with fellow art lovers in London. đ¨â¨

Everyone welcome đâ¨âŠImportant to note:â¨âŠ1. We typically socialise at cafĂŠs after the exhibit, nice, independent ones, not chains and not at pubs. If the event is late on a Saturday we go to a nice bar/pub for drinks after. This meetup is inclusive and everyone is welcome to join.âŠ2. If you get there before everyone and you're not sure what to do or where we are, post a comment on here and I will let you know where we will be.âŠ3. Once we go in we may separate, feel free to explore the exhibit by yourself, we don't have to be together. Some people like chatting to others while exploring and other people prefer to be with their own thoughts. You are welcome to express yourself and do whatever helps you feel free.â¨â¨4. If you are late or if youâve booked for an earlier or later time donât worry just go in and youâll find us inside. Keep an eye on the comments as Iâll be posting updates.
