What does it really mean to grow older?

🥁 This meetup takes us to The Coming of Age, a thought-provoking exhibition exploring how our experiences of ageing are shaped by culture, society and the world around us. Bringing together art, science and personal stories, the exhibition challenges common assumptions about different stages of life - from youth and adulthood to later years.

🎨 Featuring over 150 artworks and objects by leading contemporary artists alongside historical artefacts, the exhibition invites us to reflect on longevity, identity and what it means to age well in a rapidly changing world.

🎫 Admission is free. There is no requirement to book a ticket.

We will meet at the exhibition entrance.

☕️ We will take 45minutes to 1 hour to explore the exhibit then go for coffee in the gallery’s cafe or somewhere nearby.

Important to note:

1. We typically socialise at cafés after the exhibit, nice, independent ones, not chains and not at pubs. If the event is late on a Saturday we go to a nice bar/pub for drinks after. This meetup is inclusive and everyone is welcome to join.

2. If you get there before everyone and you're not sure what to do or where we are, post a comment on here and I will let you know our whereabouts.

3. Once we go in we may separate, feel free to explore the exhibit by yourself, we don't have to be together. Some people like chatting to others while exploring and other people prefer to be with their own thoughts. You are welcome to express yourself and do whatever makes you feel comfortable.
