Saint Louis Dance Theatre and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra collaborate in a program inspired by the Saint Louis Art Museum’s exhibition, Anselm Kiefer: Becoming the Sea. Centered on Pavel Haas’s String Quartet No. 3, and original choreography by Kirven Douthit-Boyd, the performance places the work of a composer on the eve of the Holocaust in dialogue with Kiefer’s postwar artistic response, revealing how creative expression speaks across time.
