This restored Civil War era structure was once the home of Scott Joplin, the famous ragtime composer and is a National Historic Landmark. Guided tours daily on the hour. Save time for playing the player piano.
The Scott Joplin House State Historic Site is located at 2658 Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri. It preserves the Scott Joplin Residence, the home of composer Scott Joplin from 1901 to 1903. The house and its surroundings are maintained by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources as a state historic site.
An authentic player piano fills the air with Scott Joplin melodies as you walk through the historically appropriate modest flat on Delmar Boulevard where Joplin rented a room in 1902. Scott Joplin House State Historic Site, which stands as a testimony to his talent and hard work, also includes museum exhibits that interpret Joplin’s life.
