In this fast, practical 20-minute live ACN Short, Mark Walmsley FRSA AGSM introduces the idea of your Picture Hook — the distinctive characteristic, story, expertise, approach or point of view that makes you easier to remember, describe and recommend.
Your Picture Hook isn't necessarily a clever strap line. It's the thing that helps somebody think: “Ah yes. I know exactly who you mean.”
For a visual artist it might be a distinctive style, subject or technique. For a writer, musician, creative professional or cultural leader, it could be an unusual perspective, expertise, story, or way of working.
During the session, Mark will give you five simple questions to help uncover yours.
You may not leave the session with the perfect Picture Hook. But you'll leave knowing where to look for it — and why finding it could change the way you introduce yourself, talk about your work and build your personal brand.
Because opportunities often happen when you're not in the room.
