Day out by the Seaside with Literary Walk and Victorian Song and Opera High Tea

Details
ARRIVE ANY TIME ON SUNDAY 8TH JUNE IN FOLKESTONE CENTRAL STATION
There are 2 trains, one fast from St. Pancras via Stratford direct to Folkestone Central or the train from Charing Cross via Waterloo East and London Bridge direct to Folkestone Central.
There's a lovely walk from the station through Kingsnorth Gardens to the top on the Leas overlooking the sea.
There are choices for a wonderful day out:
If you fancy getting to the Grand up on the Leas by 10.45, Paul, will be available to lead a 'Literary Tour' @ £5 per person ending in Sandgate on the coast for lunch on the beach or in a historic pub.
There is plenty of parking in front of the Grand.
There have been so many different famous authors living in and around Folkestone and most notably HG Wells who brought many of the Bloomsbury set to Folkestone on visits.
After lunch we only have to cross the road for the Afternoon Concert in the Chichester Hall @£29 per person
14.30 Chichester Hall doors open
15.00 Amazing Afternoon of English songs and Italian arias by international opera singers Per Bach Nissen and Josephine Halsall accompanied by Alise Kirtley.
16.00. Sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and non stop tea and coffee
Champagne and wine for those who fancy a little extra!
We enjoy an informal setting and limit the places to 40 so that Per can serenade us as he walks among the tables!
17.30 Concert ends
We can either jump on a bus or stroll up the quick path to Folkestone... about 1/2 a mile
If you have any questions or wish to share a table with others, just let us know.
