Join us for a relaxed and creative afternoon in the park, where we’ll explore the art of portrait drawing in a fun and social atmosphere.

Our Concept:
A fun drawing session in nature where participants connect through art while learning basic techniques of portraiture. In this playful outdoor session, you’ll work in pairs and take turns drawing each other every 5–20 minutes. No experience is needed- this is all about improvisation, experimentation, and connecting through art.

How does it work?
We’ll sit together in the shade of the trees, exchange glances and giggles, and learn some basic drawing skills along the way. It’s a great chance to practice observation, loosen up your hand, and create something personal. A short introduction and warm-up sketching exercises will kick things off. We’ll pair up participants and switch partners or poses every 5 to 20 minutes to deepen the exercise.

You’ll learn how to:

• Observe facial features and structure
• Use basic proportions to guide your drawing
• Capture expression and character
• Add volume through shading and lines
• Build confidence and loosen your drawing style

You’ll be provided with:

• Drawing paper
• Drawing board
• Graphite pencils
• Charcoal sticks
• Erasers and sharpeners
• Clips
• Soft pastels
• Fixative

Feel free to bring: colouring pencils, markers, watercolours, pastels, or any of your favourite tools

Discover marbling in a creative 2-hour workshop at our professional art studio, located in Amsterdam’s vibrant, artistic NDSM district. We'll explore the magic of water together with pigments. Join us at this playful art workshop!

Marbling is a centuries-old technique of aqueous surface design that allows you to paint directly on water, creating patterns that resemble natural stone or floral designs. Historically used for book covers and endpapers, this expressive medium invites both play and creativity.

The session begins with a 15-minute demonstration, where you’ll learn how to use the natural pigments, tools, and printing process as well as how to make chemical-free colours and marbling water. Afterwards, you'll have the freedom to create abstract forms or floral designs (like tulips, one of the Netherlands’ iconic symbols) and print your artwork onto paper.

You’ll be able to print 2 to 5 A4-sized marbled artworks, with the possibility of printing more on request. All materials are handmade at the studio from raw pigments, oil, and water; chemical-free, safe to use.

No experience needed. This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone looking for a relaxing, sensory, and creative art session. It’s intuitive and easy to pick up. You can work solo or collaborate with others in the group.

You’ll be provided with:
• Marbling trays and natural pigments
• A4-size paper (5 prints included)
• Ink pen
• Clips & rope
• Gloves and aprons
• Drinks and refreshments included
