Lunch at Stanmer and then choices

Details
Starting from the Shoreham tollbridge (east side by the memorial) at 10:00 and finishing at Shoreham train station. Mostly off road ride with hills.
Coffee at Emmaus, Portslade (4 miles), and lunch at Stanmer Park cafe (12 miles), plus option of ice creams on the sea front. The ride is 30 miles and has 450m of climbing with some short, steep sections. Ride is best suited to gravel or hybrid bikes.
NOTE: at 10 miles there's 1 mile (approx) of narrow, rough track with some very steep sections and the section from Woodingdean to Rottingdean is along a bumpy track with flints.
Various options available. Ride to Emmaus for coffee (all road) then make your own way home.
Join ride at Stanmer Park cafe for lunch by getting train to Moulsecoomb (changing at Brighton) then ride along cycle path to Stanmer Park.
After lunch 2 options available:
Option 1 - cycle to Woodingdean then off road to Balsdean Farm (fabulous views out to sea on a clear day) and long descent into Rottingdean and back along the sea front to Shoreham.
Option 2 - cycle to Woodingdean then smooth downhill off road route into Ovingdean (also has good views) and back along the sea front to Shoreham.
Please ensure that your bike is roadworthy and you have sufficient equipment to make minor repairs such as a puncture.
All participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety and wellbeing and should be aware that the medical/first aid provisions are no different than if they were riding on their own or informally with friends.
