Starting at Shoreham Tollbridge (East side by the memorial). Good idea to bring bike lights - in case of any delays.

Route is no longer through Wiston, due to flooding. Going down Spithandle Lane. Now 15 miles to cafe, then another 8 miles, for those cycling on to the lunch stop. 20 mile return to Worthing Pier

Option 1 return is road up Washington Hill, then gravel ride on downhill Wiston Estate cycle track to Chalk Restaurant and the Bike Exchange site. From here we join The Estate bridle path that emerges on the rarely used footpath running alongside the A24, for a few yards - (until a cycle path alternative can be provided). Proceed with caution and dismount as/if required).
Soon we are at the north of Findon. Lanes continue and then join Findon Valley cycle path and a signed road route, to Central Worthing. A27 is crossed by pedestrian operated traffic signal. Pass through the Offington Conservation Area, similar to Sea Lane at Goring - unlike Angmering (not a designated area). There shall be an option to return to Shoreham, if requested.

(43 miles total, if followed all the way to the Worthing Pier and coast cycle path).

Option 2 is to return to Shoreham via Ashington, Spithandle Lane, and Downslink - see Richard.

Please ensure that your bike is roadworthy and you have sufficient equipment to make minor repairs such as a puncture.

All participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety and wellbeing and should be aware that the medical/first aid provisions are no different than if they were riding on their own or informally with friends.
