Short ride to the Castle Inn
Details
Non-members welcome.
Meet at Worthing Pier at 10:00.
We'll cycle through East Worthing, and Lancing to the Shoreham wooden bridge. If you with to join on the East side of the bridge, please let me know. After cycling up the Coombes Road, our coffee and cake stop will be at the Castle Inn at Bramber. The main group will return on the Downs Link (but there is a road option), and the coastal cycleway to Worthing Pier.
The route is 21 miles and exect undulations on the way out. Should you return on the Downs Link, narrow road tyres are not reccomended.
We should be back by about 1:30pm.
Please check that your bike is roadworthy - we recommend the “M Check” shown here: https://www.sustrans.org.uk/our-blog/get-active/2019/everyday-walking-and-cycling/mcheck
If you have a pump, puncture repair kit and a basic cycling tool kit, we recommend bringing them (just in case).
Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
All participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety and wellbeing and should be aware that the medical/first aid provisions are no different than if they were riding on their own or informally with friends
