Annual Freewheel Competition (DA Event)

Our annual fun Freewheel event is where we meet up
with riders from the Horsham and Crawley member group.
We’ll ride about 12 miles to coffee at the Hive, Dial Post. We meet the others for lunch after a further 8 miles at the Five Bells, West Chiltington and then take a short ride up to Warminghurst Church where one at a time we’ll roll down the hill and see who can go the furthest without pedalling. No prizes, just kudos. We then bid the other riders farewell and head back to Shoreham via Spithandle Lane (13 miles).
Suitable for all bikes but obviously if you want to win you’ll need to be on your most free-rolling bike. The total mileage for the day will be about 36miles.

Please ensure that your bike is roadworthy and you have sufficient equipment to make at least puncture repairs. All participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety and getting home if bike cannot be repaired roadside. The first aid provisions are no different from if they were riding on their own or informally with friends.
