The planned Chichester ride is cancelled. We will ride from Littlehampton footbridge at 10:10 and head towards Chichester stopping for lunch somewhere near there (decision will depend on weather and how we feel). Estimated distance 35 miles (approximately).

CANCELLED:
A 34 mile ride departing 10.15 from the North side of Chichester Station, allowing for the train scheduled to arrive at 10.03.

We cycle 10 miles to the Pavilion Tearoom, Stansted Park. There are hills after coffee on the way to lunch at the Selsey Arms, West Dean, a distance of 11 miles. We leave Stansted Park on the Monarch's Way, a good track. The route continues up the Stoughton valley to East Marden and a climb to the B2141.

The return from lunch is a fairly flat route using the Centurion way. There is the option to shorten the ride at Lavant by taking the Centurion Way all the way back to Chichester station (6 miles) or continuing to Barnham Station (13 miles). There is a further section of track (Tinwood Lane) and we need to cross the A27. Littlehampton Station is a further 5 miles for those who want to extend the ride further.

Please ensure that your bike is roadworthy and you have sufficient equipment to make at least puncture repairs. All participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety and getting home if bike cannot be repaired roadside. The first aid provisions are no different from if you were riding on your own or informally with friends.
