About us
Wuji = emptiness and potential. Taiji = balance and polarity.
Qigong (pronounced Chee gong) is a practice of coordinating breath work with gentle movements. The practice traces its roots to ancient China and is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
We practice with the intention of supporting our bodies, minds and spirits as we recover from addiction. Qigong clears the body of old patterns while balancing the emotions and restoring vitality.
Practices act as a reboot. We find a place of "emptiness" from which we expand and open our pathways of Qi, the body's vital energy.
A typical practice includes: warming up, hooking up, purging our minds and bodies of what we no longer need, and practicing slow, mindful movements. We draw inspiration from nature: rhythms of forward movement, letting go, finding our way around obstacles, growth, and expansiveness.
Brian is a certified Qigong instructor and in recovery, attending Recovery Dharma meetings. Brian will lead you through the forms (movements) and meditations.
No experience necessary. No fancy silk clothes required. Just be comfortable.
Practices are free although donations are accepted. No pressure.
