December Book Club - Our Wives Under The Sea by Julia Armfield

This month we will get together to discuss "Our Wives Under The Sea" By Julia Armfield. A novel about a marine biologist, Leah, who returns home after a disastrous six-month deep-sea mission, only to be physically and psychologically changed in a way her wife, Miri, struggles to understand. The story is told through alternating perspectives: Miri's in the present, grappling with her wife's strange behavior and the growing distance between them, and Leah's in flashbacks, which reveal the unsettling events and growing horror of the expedition. The narrative explores the couple's relationship, grief, and the unknowable mystery of what happened in the ocean's depths
