This group is for folks who enjoy Louisiana style Zydeco and swing music and want to connect with people who like to dance or listen to that style of music. This group is open to all adults over 18 who share a love for all things NOLA. We will be announcing live events in the NJ area that you can come to.

Join the Gumbo Gumbas for an evening of music, community, and remembrance as we celebrate the life of Alfie Grillo—a man deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. This event is open to the public and will take place at the Clinton Elks Club from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Plenty of room for Zydeco and swing dancing.Bring your stories and help us honor Alfie by sharing them with friends, family, and fellow attendees.

Alfie and Gumbo Gumbas bandleader Joe made a yearly tradition of visiting New Orleans to soak in the festivals, and in that spirit, we’re bringing in an authentic Creole food truck. Come hungry and enjoy delicious Louisiana cuisine from Crawdaddys.
We’ll be joined by special musical guests Ernie White, Ron Oswanski, and Mike Beach—plus a few surprise performers. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Amyloidosis Research Consortium.
