Support Group for Adult Survivors of Child Abuse

Details

This Support Group is for adult survivors of childhood physical, sexual, emotional abuse and/or neglect.

*** We are currently virtual only! ***
NOTE: this group now meets every other week, on the second and fourth Mondays of the month.

Please note that in order to keep group manageable, we are limited to 12 attendees at a time. If group is already at capacity, we will send you a message in the waiting room letting you know and welcoming you to attend one of the future meetings.

Join us via Zoom!
Meeting ID: 852 2369 0273

The group is well-established and unpolished. The format is open and semi-structured on the classic ASCA 21-Step Program.

Please see our Meeting Guidelines before attending:

  1. This is a peer driven support group. All those who attend are survivors including volunteer facilitators. We alternate hosts between Aubrey, Koichi, and Ishai. Aubrey is the default host on Meetup but that doesn’t mean they will necessarily be the host for that meeting.
  2. Meetings are exclusively for adult survivors of physical, sexual, or emotional childhood abuse and/or neglect.
  3. Survivors who are currently perpetrating abuse on others are not welcome here.
  4. Only first names are used; video is strongly encouraged. What you hear is told in confidence and should not be repeated outside this meeting.
  5. Please arrive on time and remain until the conclusion of the meeting.
  6. Refrain from side-talk and remain an active participant throughout the duration. Please do not multitask.
  7. Language that is considered derogatory concerning race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or minority status is unacceptable in our meeting. If anything is said that is not addressed, please directly contact a facilitator.
  8. Any mean spirited comments towards anybody in the group is never welcome. If you find that you are triggered by something someone says, please reflect and if you feel the person should be addressed by a facilitator, please reach out to one (after the meeting).
  9. ASCA states true healing only begins after you have stopped contact with your abuser, this however is not a requirement to be part of the group.
  10. By participating in this meeting, we all agree to honor and abide by the spirit of ASCA, our guidelines and any interventions made by the Co-facilitators.
