What we’re about
Asexuals and Aromantics of the Mid-Atlantic: Baltimore is a Meetup group for anyone on the asexual and/or aromantic spectrum or people who do not experience sexual and/or romantic attraction. We are a group dedicated to the enrichment of the lives of asexuals and aromantics by providing support and friendship in an open and caring environment. It is our goal to make all members feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts and experiences, and all are free to contribute as much or as little as they wish in our discussions.
This group was created as a branch group of an Ace Meetup group that is centered in Washington, DC for those who live in the Baltimore, MD area. We may do joint Meetups with the original Asexuals and Aromantics of the Mid-Atlantic group, but the idea of having this branch group is to be centered in Baltimore. We want to create and build on our ace and aro community that is here in Baltimore.

Baltimore Pride 2025 registration is open. The question is do folks want to march in the Pride Parade, table at the Pride in the Park, or cheer from the sidelines? We have marched in the parade in 2019, 2023 and 2024, and cheered from the sidelines other years as well.
Pride in the Park is June 14 and 15. Pride Parade is June 14. The parade and festival have a registration fee for those who want to be a vendor or walk the parade. Next deadline for registration is April 4 before the price goes up. I know it is hard to think about something that is many months away, but before registering I need to know there is enough interest in doing either option.
In the past we have registered under the organization title "The Ace and Aro Advocacy Project." (See website for more info: TAAAP.org)
Please respond to the question for this meetup after rsvp'ing. I need to know how many are interested in walking and representing aces and aros in the pride parade, cheer from the sidelines or table at the Pride in the Park. You can bring friends/family/partners along, please include that in your rsvp count. (They should already know what ace and aro mean if they join us.) I can make separate meetup event for folks who just want to watch and cheer from the sidelines.
For walking in the parade we will have to meet before noon to find our spot in the parade.* Detailed location of our meeting spot will be given when that becomes known closer to the event day.
