Friday, June 6th: Aces & Aros Unconference in Washington DC!

Details
You must sign up through Eventbrite because there is limited space in this venue and it will be ticketed entry only. FYI we already have 25 confirmed attendees, and we know we'll allow at least 60 people to come to the event, maybe more like 75? We're still figuring out maximum capacity. To help with some fundraising for basic costs associated with this unconference, this event costs $25 per ticket, although if you need a code for getting in for free, just message Emily (one of the hosts of this event) and she can provide you a code. We don't want anyone to be turned away for lack of ability to pay! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/aces-aros-of-the-mid-atlantic-washington-dc-unconference-tickets-1324702293219

Whether you're ace, aro, or an ally, everyone is welcome to come together and celebrate our diverse identities. We're meeting in the Ballroom of The Chastleton building in DC. It's a single large room for our event.
What is an Unconference?
An unconference is an unstructured conference where attendees determine the agenda. At our unconference, we will determine discussion topics at the start of the event. (Example topics: gender in the ace/aro communities, navigating dating, singlehood challenges for non-partnering aspecs, representation in media, etc) Attendees will determine which discussions they want to be a part of and then we will break out into smaller groups to discuss chosen topics. We will have multiple rounds of discussions, with multiple topics being talked about at any given time. The last round will be reserved for continuation of previous topics.
Please note that the Unconference is intended as a conversation space, not an educational 101 space. Unconference attendees are not here to educate you or to answer your personal curiosity, whether it's questions about (a)sexuality, gender, or anything else.
