Night Hike at Trombatore Trail
Details
What better way to let go of the stress from a long day than by spending the evening in nature and watching the sun set over the mountains! Bonus, the fall leaves should be peaking at this elevation!
Join me on this 5.1 mi out-and-back hike, which starts by descending 700 ft in elevation over the first mile, followed by a 600 ft ascent to the Blue Ridge Pastures over the next mile and a half. We should be able to reach the pastures around sunset, but bring a headlamp for the 2.5-mile hike back, as it will be dark.
This trail is dog-friendly, but all dogs must be socialized and leashed at all times :-)
Please bring layers as it will get cold once the sun sets, bring enough water, and feel free to bring a snack or warm beverage to enjoy while we watch the sun set!
